| This exhibit focuses on the period 1900-1910 in Marathon County. This was a critical era for the county. The logging industry that had built Wausau and many of the other towns was dying. The non-farming economy of the county needed to change or the towns would decline. Local business leaders worked to encourage the development and growth of other businesses. Exhibit hours: Tues-Thurs 9am-4:30pm, Sat-Sun 1pm-4:30pm. Admission is free. www.marathoncountyhistory.com |
